We study the hadro-production of the jets focusing on one jet inclusive cross sections. While the exact NLO results to this process are already available, the complete NNLO cross sections are yet to be computed. In this context, a study of the QCD threshold corrections at NNLO accuracy is the best approach to predict approximate NNLO cross sections. We compute the threshold corrections to the inclusive jet production process at hadron colliders in the soft-gluon re-summation formalism. We expand the resummed results for all QCD subprocesses to NNLO at NLL accuracy and compare our results with those in the literature. Further, we give numerical predictions for the rapidity integrated transverse momentum distributions of the jets and study the phenomenological implications of these threshold corrections to the inclusive jet production at both Tevatron and LHC. |
