Abstract        :

Strongly interacting matter under high temperature and /or high density is under active investigation for many years, theoretically as well as experimentally. In that respect QCD inspired non-perturbative model study has already been established as very efficient and effective approach. PNJL model is one such model which can mimic two very important non-perturbative properties: chiral symmetry breaking and confinement along with the proper symmetry structure of QCD. The present talk is divided into three parts. In the first part study of phase diagram and various physical characteristics of 2+1 flavor quark matter within beta equilibrium condition are discussed. In the next part, explicit isospin symmetry breaking by unequal light quark masses is considered and its effect on various susceptibilities are discussed. Finally importance of implicit parameter dependences of various mean fields in NJL like models, when computing Quark Number Susceptibility, is discussed in the light of Fluctuation Dissipation Theorem.
