Abstract | : |
Parameter estimations in cosmology is always biased by the assumptions regarding the underlying model. Usually the standard model of cosmology assumes power law model of primordial power spectrum and LCDM background cosmology. Relaxing one of these assumptions result in increased degeneracies and larger uncertainties in the parameter space. In my talk I shall discuss, to what extent the assumptions bias our understanding of the Universe. Use of different estimators and different datasets can reduce these degeneracies to a considerable extent. Towards the end I shall demonstrate the consistency of the standard model assumptions with the recent observational data. |
