Research
To understand the growth, structure and properties of low dimensional systems and their correlation. Emphasis in understanding the interfacial dynamics and its role in the formation of low dimensional structures and also in understanding the local structure and properties, mainly using complementary techniques- Grazing Incidence X-ray Scattering (GIXS), Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM), X-ray and Ultraviolet Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS and UPS), Optical absorption spectroscopy (UV-Vis).

Open PhD projects for bright motivated students:
  • Mobility enhancement in insulating polymer blended semiconducting polymer thin films
    - for their use as active layers in organic devices
  • Wettability and connectivity enhancement of polymer blended organic semi-conductor thin films
    - for their use as active layers in organic devices
  • Understanding electronic structures of organic molecule-metal interfaces
    - for tuning device properties
