Post-doctoral Fellows:
Our lab currently is looking for highly-motivated postdoctoral fellows in the following projects:
1) Role of metabolism in cancer, particularly, evolution of therapeutic resistance.
2) Role of gene-environment interaction in pathogenesis of Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
3) Biomarker and mechanism of Non-diabetic Kidney Disease (NDKD).
4) Personalization of treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Aspiring fellows are strongly encouraged and will be fully supported to apply for their own fellowships. We support independent thinking and are committed to foster interdisciplinary research. Candidates with strong background in organic chemistry/biochemistry/bioinformatics (data mining)/molecular biology/cell biology/cancer biology are encouraged to apply. Experience in chromatography/mass spectrometry would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
Graduate Students:
Our lab currently has opening* for graduate students interested to work on the application of cutting-edge analytical chemistry and systems biology tools to solve research problems related to cancer, personalized medicine and public health. You will not only get the opportunity to learn the art of mass spectrometry-based metabolomic and proteomic analysis but also how to combine them with gene expression analysis to identify disease biomarkers and to elucidate the underlying mechanism.
* Please note that all applications will be entertained through institutional selection procedure only. Candidates must qualify for the interview either through entrance exam (JGEEBILS, SINP) or GATE or UGC/CSIR/DBT JRF. Interviews are held twice a year.
